You & I - One Direction Perfume!

Hi everyone!

This summer I had the opportunity to go to a concert. Now, this wasn't just any concert. This was, in my opinion probably one of the biggest concerts I will ever attend. It was, of course, the One Direction: Where We Are Tour. I won't lie, I was quite excited when I found out that I would be able to get tickets to a sold out show, and although the seats weren't fantastic (500 section - eek!) the night was incredible. Without fangirling to much, I will just come out and say that I am a fan of One Direction and of course 5 Seconds of Summer. Since I live in Canada, there was only one location that the concert was happening which was Toronto. Fortunately, I live in Toronto so the journey to and from the concert wasn't so bad. The concert that I went to at the Roger's Centre was on August 2nd, 2014. I find, with a lot of people I have seen live, that it can either make you not like them as much or fall in love with them. I feel like just from this blog post that you guys will be able to tell that I did indeed fall more in love with both groups. I'll include some pictures of the night, and if you guys want to see some videos of the night (August 2nd), I'll link my Vine account as well!

Anyways! Shortly before my concert date, One Direction released the news that they would be coming out with a new perfume, "You & I". If I'm not mistaken, the boys have two other perfumes available. The new perfume that they said they were going to release definitely caught my eye.

This is a charm that comes with the perfume! Personally I think the bottle looks nicer with it left on but you could definitely take it off and wear it!

For starters, the packaging is beautiful, whether you're 15 or in your 20s I think that this is genuinely a nice bottle to have sitting out along with other perfumes. Besides the fact that the packaging is gorgeous, I needed to be in love with the smell of the perfume in order to be sold on it. When I first read the description of the "You & I" perfume I was immediately intrigued because the main smells included: praline, sandalwood and musk. I haven't done a blog post before on perfumes because I feel as though it is hard to capture what something smells like unless you're actually smelling it yourself, but, I love pretty much anything with sandalwood and musk. There are not too many perfumes in my collection that don't include at least one of those smells, so I figured I'd find where the perfume was being sold and give it a sniff!

My initial reaction to the perfume was that I needed it. It's definitely not a masculine smell, as many musk and/or sandalwood perfumes can be but it's also not too florally. Since I recently ran out of my other favorite perfume - Dior Addict Eau Fraîche - I decided that I would pick this one up. I haven't regretted it since. I've had the perfume for about two weeks now, and have worn it every single day. The lasting power of this perfume is very good, definitely comparable to some of my higher end perfumes! Also, it's a perfume that every time I put it on, I get compliments and I like that it's not a perfume that other people find to be overpowering as well!

I was able to find the perfume at Shoppers Drug Mart  here in Canada! I got the 100 mL bottle because it retails at $72, if I'm not mistaken, and the 50mL bottle goes for around $60. I figured that for the $12 difference, it would be worth it for twice the amount of product! Sephora also carries the perfume! I know that for One Direction has a bunch of different release dates so it might not be out in every country yet, click here to see the release dates for your country!

I would definitely recommend this perfume to my friends, because I don't think you have to be a fan of One Direction to buy it! If you have the chance to go out and smell the perfume I definitely think that you should, especially if you love anything mildly florally or musky!

Have any of you tried this perfume? Are you a fan of the band? Did you go to WWA Tour? Let me know what you think in the comments :) Thank you so much for reading!
