Best of Beauty 2015

Happy February!

How are you? I hope you're doing well, and that you're having a great Monday so far. For today's post I wanted to share my Best of Beauty 2015. I know that these are typically done at the end of 2015/beginning of 2016, but I wasn't able to post it then so I figured I'd do it now in lieu of my monthly favorites. I feel like I haven't done a monthly favorites in ages, so it's good to get back into it!

As you can see, I have quite a few beauty favorites so grab a drink and a snack and let's jump into it!

I wanted to try this foundation for ages, and for my birthday in September (how is it already February?) my sister picked this little gem up. I absolutely love it. When I first got it I was a little hesitant if I'm completely honest. I had no idea how to apply it, because it suggests applying it with the bareMinerals Smoothing Face Brush brush. I don't know about you, but anytime a company releases a brush just for a certain product I rarely ever buy it because I usually have something similar, also it's usually a ridiculous price ($35). Anyways, I finally figured out that a damp beauty blender is the way to go for me personally. This "gel" leaves my skin looking glowy and dewy, two descriptions that are rarely ever used for my complexion. I have such dry skin and this product is a lifesaver.

This mascara has long been a favorite of mine. The actual brush is a little intimidating at first, but as soon as you get used to it, I can say it is an all-time favorite. If you're going for a false-looking lash then this is perfect. I'm not overly fond of the price, and if I'm completely honest anytime I have to restock I usually buy the travel size. 1) It's a heck of a lot cheaper, and 2) The actual brushes are different and I actually prefer the travel size brush compared to the full size.

This compact travel mirror is perfect for traveling and just everyday use. It has lights inside that are perfect for anytime of the day. If you haven't seen my blog post going over this mirror in detail, you can click here to check it out!

4// Kat Von D : Tattoo Brow : $23 in Blonde
When I first saw this product I didn't know if I would like it or not, because it's legitimately different from any other brow product I use. It's perfect for getting natural looking brows while still being precise. The only downside to this product is that I found that it ran out rather quickly.

This palette is absolutely beautiful. Back in the summer, Jaclyn Hill, released a highlighter with Becca Cosmetics called 'Champagne Pop'. For those of who you may not know, Jaclyn Hill is a beauty guru on YouTube (who is insanely talented and beautiful). Originally, I was going to include just Champagne Pop in this best of beauty, but I knew that I had to include the entire palette because Becca also created two new highlighters/blushers: 'Pearl' and 'Blushed Copper'. This palette is great because of the versatility and everyday wear.  ($46 for each individual highlighter)

6// Benefit : It's Potent! Eye Cream : $40 for Full Size
I haven't used this product all year, but I had to give it a shout out because I have been using it every single day since I got it. It's incredibly moisturizing and helps make my concealer go a little bit further.

This concealer is amazing, and cheap. Two of the best combinations when searching for new makeup. It's really nicely pigmented and doesn't crease whatsoever. The only negative to this product is that I wish there was more product because I always seem to run out if it rather fast.

Liquid lipsticks are usually a little bit too daring for me as I tend to keep my lip choice fairly neutral. However, this liquid lipstick is something I wear almost everyday I wear makeup. It's the perfect shade of pink/your-lips-but-better. It also lasts for a tremendously long time which is always a bonus!

I'm sure a lot of you beauty lovers have tried or heard about this product. If you haven't tried it, you need to. It definitely changes the brow game. #browgamestrong

10 // Dior : Dior Addict Lip Glow : $40 in Pink
I found this little beauty at Winners for $20.99 which is amazing considering it is $40 at Sephora. I decided to pick it up after it being on my wishlist for ages. I'm so glad I did, it's the perfect everyday lip product. It's not overly pigmented, but does leave a beautiful pink shade and leaves your lips moisturized.

11// L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation  : $15-19 in Classic Ivory
This is a great drug store foundation, that is high in coverage. It is completely mattifying on me, so I usually mix it with some sort of oil or Becca Cosmetic's Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone ($23-50. I have also done a full blog post on this, which you can read here.

I was really hesitant to purchase this product, but after seeing so many amazing reviews on it I knew I had to give it a try. I'm so glad that I did because it has been my saving grace throughout the dry winter months. I love the color of it, and I like to actually wear it alone when my lips need that little extra bit of love. The original lip mask is also amazing!

13// Model Co. Blush Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini : $22
This has been my go-to blush color for a very long time. I usually don't gravitate towards blushers because my complexion is extremely pale and pink to begin with. However, this guy is a beautiful color.

This is the second NYX product that has made it into this post, which is surprising for me since before the summer I had only ever tried lip products from the company. This eyeliner is amazing, it gives me the ability to actually match the wings on both eyes.

I got this as a sample months ago and I fell in love the first use. I don't use it everyday because I can't bring myself to buy the full size version for $76. However, it makes such a difference. I use it in two ways; 1) Mix it with my foundation such as the L'Oreal Infallible or, 2) I mix it with my moisturizer at night. It also smells like lavender, which might just be my favorite part about this product.

Before I tried the beauty blender earlier this summer, I honestly didn't understand what the big hype was. I've bought a bunch of imitators in the past and I hated the way it applied my makeup, but then I received a beauty blender in my Birchbox and finally understood why there is such a buzz around it. I rarely use foundation brushes now because it just doesn't compare to this little sponge.

This mascara is incredible. If you haven't tried it already, you need to. I won't go too into detail about it here because I have previously written a post reviewing it, which you can read here.

So many brow products! If I'm going for a bold brow I gravitate towards this product. It's so easy to work with, and lasts for ages. Definitely worth the price in my opinion!

This is usually my go-to contour powder. I have to use a pretty light hand when using it, but it does the trick. My goal this year is to get more into different contouring products.

This eye shadow can be tricky to work with, but it's so worth it. It's a beautiful copper/rose gold color. It's not necessarily something that I wear on an everyday basis, but if I have a special occasion it's what I go for!

21// Make Up For Ever : HD Primer (can't find this product anywhere online, sorry!)
I found this at Winners for $12.99 and I immediately grabbed it. I hadn't heard too much about the primer, only the HD foundations. However, I love this primer. It hydrates my skin and makes my makeup last all day.

This is probably one of my most used products apart from mascara this year. There's so many different ways to use this product whether you're mixing it with foundation, using it as highlight, or applying it to your body for a little bit of an extra glow. I usually only buy the travel size because it lasts for so long, a little does really go a long way in this case.

This product has completely changed my eye shadow game. It's the perfect shade to wear by itself and because it's an eye primer it lasts all day. It also makes any eye shadow go that extra mile.

As with the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector, this primer is a game changer. If you don't like looking like a glowing goddess, stay far far away from this. However, if you do like that look, buy this product immediately.

If you haven't read my post including this product you can click here to check it out!

If you have been reading my blog for any period of time you probably know that I'm obsessed with this product. I can't even tell you how many times I've repurchased this. If you have dry skin, I highly recommend you try this.

27// Ecotools brushes : Precision Blush Brush $7.99
Complexion Collection - Skin Perfecting Brush $7.99
Eco brushes have easily become one of my favorite brush companies. The quality of the brushes are incredible and they are extremely affordable. I also am in love with their packaging.

If you love maple, Canada, or lip products this one is for you. I did an entire post featuring this lipstick so I'll link it here if you haven't checked it out already.

That wraps up my best of beauty 2015 edition! It was a long post, but I think that all these products definitely deserve a shoutout for being the real MVP's this past year! What were your favorite products of the year? Have you tried any of these? Let me know in the comments below!

Thank you so much for reading, I will be back very soon with a new blog post!

All the love,
