A Little Black Dress, Made Just for You // eShakti

I have a love/hate relationship with dresses. I think the majority of them are gorgeous and I am envious when I see girls wearing beautiful dresses. Then I try dresses on and they just do not work for me. Most of them are too small in some places, and way to big in others. To make a long story short, dresses and I have agreed to disagree. That was until I received an e-mail from eShakti. I first heard about eShakti from +Jenny Burgess blog Mish Mosh Makeup, if you haven't read her blog or her blog post with eShakti I highly recommend checking her out.

When I received the e-mail I was ecstatic and so honored. I immediately started looking through eShakti's wide collection, and was pleasantly surprised. There were so many beautiful pieces to choose from, but ultimately I went for a black dress with faux leather details. The picture of the dress looked gorgeous, but knowing that I could fully customize the dress was the real seller for me. Another selling point to both the dress and eShakti is that their clothing comes in 0-36W and you can customize just about anything. Personally, I struggle to find clothing companies that are willing to go that extra mile to make their customers feel comfortable.

Just knowing that the dress was going to fit me so well made the anticipation to receive the dress that much more exhilarating. I was able to request that the dress be made with full sleeves, and the best part about the entire dress? Pockets. When I received the dress in the mail earlier this week I could not have been happier about it. The quality of the dress is amazing, the bottom of the dress feels almost like a sweater material, which makes me feel more comfortable when wearing it. Also, the detailing of the faux leather on the top is so beautiful. The only thing I would change about the dress is the length, I customized the dress to sit just below my knees, but if were ordering it again I think I would choose the length to be at my knees. This entire experience has been incredible, and I am so happy that I know about eShakti.

I am so grateful to eShakti, and to all of you who read my blog, if it weren't for you I would not have had this opportunity. This is my first fashion post and although the pictures aren't fantastic, I'm hoping that you guys will enjoy it. I was going to take these pictures outside, but it has been down around -30 here, so going outside to take pictures was a bit unbearable.

For a pop of color I wore these shoes from Suzy Shier. The only jewellery I wore was my Michael Kors watch, and a few little rings.

Bag: Kate Spade
